Prof. Mritiunjoy Mohanty

Dr. Mritiunjoy Mohanty, a distinguished Professor of Economics at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, earned his Ph.D. from JNU, Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, New Delhi. He has significantly contributed to the academic community with an extensive research background in open-economy macroeconomics, growth and structural change, the political economy of growth and development, employment and labor markets, development economics, comparative growth experience, and international trade and financial markets. His expertise has been recognized through his roles as a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Developing Area Studies at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada; a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Economics at Hyderabad Central University, Andhra Pradesh, India; a Visiting Faculty member at West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences in Kolkata, West Bengal, India; and a Visiting Researcher at El Colegio de México in Mexico City.
