Important Dates
Who Should Apply This programme was built for professionals who recognise themselves in more than one of these:
– You’re a mid-to-senior manager ready to accelerate into your next role, not just wait for it
– You’re a functional leader — in marketing, finance, ops or HR — ready to transition into enterprise leadership
– You’re an IT or technology professional ready to move from building systems to leading businesses
– You run a family business or your own venture and need the frameworks to scale it deliberately
– You have 3+ years of experience and intend to lead — not just execute — in an AI-run business environment
If two or more of these sound like you, the entrance test is your next step, not the finish line.
Pedagogy / Learning Methodology – Format: Blended — live online interactive sessions plus four in-person campus modules
– Schedule: Friday and Saturday evenings, Sunday mornings and afternoons, with buffer slots for guest lectures, workshops and doubt-clearing sessions
– Pedagogy: Interactive discussion, case studies, projects and assignments — not passive lecture-watching
– Assessment: Written tests, assignments, and online examinations, evaluated by IIM Nagpur
– Capstone: A mandatory, faculty-guided field project applying the full two years to a real business problem

Evaluation & Certification From Functional Expert to Enterprise Decision-Maker — One Term at a Time
Preparatory Bridge — Foundational sessions in Maths, Statistics and Analytics fundamentals, so every cohort member starts Term 1 on equal footing, regardless of academic background.
Year One — Building the Core (Terms I–IV) The grammar of data-driven management: statistics, machine learning fundamentals, econometrics, business analytics tools, and the general management disciplines of marketing, finance, strategy, operations and law — each taught through a digital-era lens.
Year Two — Building the Leader (Terms V–VIII) Choose an elective track that mirrors your ambition. Sit in dedicated modules on GenAI, Agentic AI, and enterprise AI ethics. Sharpen leadership and executive communication. Close the programme with a field project that puts your two years of learning against a real business problem.
Convocation Walk the stage as an IIM Nagpur Blended MBA graduate, with a degree, a completed field project, and a peer network that spans sectors and seniority levels.
Not a certificate of participation. A Master of Business Administration, conferred by IIM Nagpur
At the end of two years, you don't receive a token of completion. You receive the same MBA degree IIM Nagpur confers on any of its postgraduate programmes — carrying its name, its seal, and its standing — awarded to you at the institute's Annual Convocation, alongside your cohort.
This is the one page in this brochure where we'd rather show you than tell you.

FAQs
Yes. IIM Nagpur’s blended MBA in Data Science & Management is a full, UGC-recognised MBA degree conferred by an Indian Institute of Management, awarded at the institute’s Annual Convocation — carrying the same institutional standing as any other IIM MBA, delivered in a blended format for working professionals.
The degree conferred is the same MBA qualification; the difference is delivery format and duration, not academic recognition. IIM Nagpur’s blended MBA combines live online sessions with mandatory in-person campus immersion modules, so the degree carries full institutional weight while fitting around a working professional’s schedule.
An blended MBA is a full postgraduate degree requiring 2 years, broader coursework, and a formal convocation; a PG certificate is a shorter, narrower credential (typically 6–12 months) that does not confer a degree. If long-term career signalling matters, an blended MBA carries significantly more weight on a resume and in promotion decisions.
No. These programmes are designed for general management professionals and teach technical concepts — statistics, machine learning, AI — from first principles, applied through business context rather than requiring prior coding experience.
Most Tier-1 Blended MBA programmes, including IIM Nagpur’s Blended MBA in Data Science & Management, require a minimum of 3 years of full-time professional experience post-graduation, along with a qualifying entrance test and personal interview.
Yes. Blended MBA formats — including IIM Nagpur’s Blended MBA in Data Science & Management — are specifically structured with weekend/evening live classes and short, periodic campus immersion modules so you can complete the degree while continuing full-time employment.
For professionals in AI-adjacent or data-heavy industries, a data science-integrated MBA offers a specific advantage over a generalist MBA: it builds the same core management capability while also developing fluency in AI, analytics and machine learning — a combination increasingly required for senior transformation and P&L roles.
Graduates are typically positioned for roles such as Business Analytics Lead, Digital Transformation Manager, Marketing/Financial/HR Analytics Manager, AI-Driven Strategy Consultant, or General Manager of AI-enabled business units — roles requiring both management judgment and data fluency.
In most traditional MBAs, AI appears as a single elective; in curricula built specifically around it — like IIM Nagpur’s blended MBA in Data Science & Management — AI and data science run through every term, progressing from foundational machine learning to GenAI, Agentic AI, and AI governance by the final year.
