With an MS in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Prof. Roy chairs the research and publications office at IIM Ahmedabad and co-founded the Centre for Transportation and Logistics. He authored the first book on Trucking Business Management by McGraw-Hill in 2016. Notably, in 2020, he was awarded the Inside IIM Best Professor of the Year and elected as the chair of the Facility Logistic SIG, Transportation Science and Logistics INFORMS Society.
