    Prof. Biswanath Swain

    Associate Professor of Ethics and Sustainability

    Dr. Biswanath Swain is an Associate Professor of Ethics and Sustainability at IIM Indore. He holds a Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur and an M.A. and M.Phil. from the University of Hyderabad. He teaches a wide range of courses on ethics, CSR, and sustainability across various programs at IIM Indore and also leads specialized MDPs, FDPs, and an Online PG Certificate Programme in CSR and Sustainable Strategic Leadership.

    His research focuses on Business Ethics, CSR, Sustainability, and Marketing Ethics, with publications in reputed journals like the Journal of Business Ethics and Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing. He has presented his work at leading international conferences across the globe and is actively involved with academic bodies such as the Society for Business Ethics and the Global Corporate Governance Institute. He also serves as Associate Editor for journals published by Sage and Springer.

    Prof. Akhaya Kumar Nayak

    Professor Humanities and Social Sciences (Sociology)

    Dr. Akhaya Kumar Nayak holds his Ph.D. from the IIT Kanpur in 2013. His teaching spans a diverse range of subjects including Sociological Perspectives, Indian Society and Culture, Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Leadership Insights from Vedic Scriptures particularly the Bhagavad Gita Contemporary Social Issues, Population and Society, Industrial Sociology, Essentials of Human Values, and Sociological Theories. His research interests lie in the Sociology of Social Movements and the Sociology of Development. He has also been the recipient of several academic honors, including a National Scholarship for his undergraduate studies, a Literary Champion award during his B.Ed., and an Institute Assistantship during his Ph.D. His work reflects a thoughtful integration of classical sociological frameworks with contemporary social issues, often drawing from Indian philosophical traditions.

    The programme emphasizes application and learning through case and discussion methods, encouraging participants to learn by actively engaging in assignments and Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive the prestigious status of Executive Education Alumni. To attain this status, they must submit a separate application along with the necessary registration fee. The benefits offered to Executive Education Alumni include: – Reception of brochures and newsletters from IIM Indore. – Access to the IIM Indore Campus Library (onsite access only). – Provision of an official email ID from the institute. – Issuance of an ID Card – More successful completion of the programme, submission of the application, and payment of the fee don’t automatically grant eligibility for the executive education alumni status. IIM Indore retains the right to confer the executive education alumni status. – Projects Simulations will play a crucial role in refining analytical skills, enabling participants to develop the ability to analyze problems from multifunctional perspectives.     Is there any fee that needs to be paid to register with IIM Indore executive education alumni?

    Participants who have successfully completed the programme need to apply separately to register their names with the IIM Indore Executive Education Alumni. This registration requires a fee of INR 1000 + applicable taxes for a 2-year membership and INR 10,000 + applicable taxes for a Lifetime membership. Please note that the one-time fee for the Executive Alumni Status, which is an add-on to the programme fee, is subject to revision based on the discretion of the IIM Indore management.
